CareerMatters and ILC.org

As part of a complete re-launch of the Independent Learning Centre's website ILC.org, we will no longer be updating the information at CareerMatters.

We have made this decision in order to focus our resources on the primary offerings and priorities for the ILC: secondary school diploma completion and GED credentialing.

As you look ahead to further education, training, or planning your career, there is now an excellent variety of dynamic online resources designed to help you make informed choices, many of which did not exist when the ILC launched CareerMatters in the 1990s. It is our pleasure to recommend to you the following federally and provincially-operated career information websites.

Occupational Descriptions (Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities)

The National Occupational Classification (Human Resources and Skills Development Canada)

Career Assessment and Planning (CAP) (YWCA Toronto)

Ontario Network of Employment Skills Training Projects (Onestep)

Second Career (Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities)

Access to Professions and Trades in Ontario (on www.211ontario.ca)
