After high school, after dinner, after retirement—Ontario offers thousands of opportunities to learn something new.

Every year, thousands of people follow their dreams through a vast array of choices in post-secondary education. Sometimes it’s a few hours learning how to paddle a canoe; sometimes it’s several years learning how to build bridges. Training to become a dancer, running your own plumbing business, learning a second language...whatever you want to do for fun or profit, there’s probably a centre in Ontario that teaches it. Here’s a look at the variety of institutions:

  • 18 publicly funded degree-granting universities and their affiliates
  • 24 publicly funded Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology
  • three agricultural colleges and one school of horticulture
  • several hospital-based programs
  • Royal Military College
  • about 450 registered private career colleges
  • and many more, including not-for-profit organizations, language schools and school boards

Explore your options through the menu on the left, or use the Find a School or Program search function (see left nav) to find out where a certain program is offered. For Search tips, click here.
