Who May Enrol in ILC's secondary school courses:

You must meet the following conditions to enrol in an ILC credit course:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older and not attending secondary school.

  • You must live in Ontario.

  • You must be a Canadian citizen, or a landed immigrant, or an Ontario resident holding a diplomatic visa or ministerial permit; or you must be a refugee.

NOTE: If you are 19 years of age or younger, you must include a Date of Leaving Letter and an official original Ontario Student Transcript with your request. Click here for more information.

Exceptions:

  • NEW! Non-residents of Ontario, including students on study visas, students from other provinces/territories of Canada and international students may now enrol in ILC courses. Please refer to our Special Circumstances brochure for details.

  • Students currently in secondary school may be able to take ILC courses with the permission of their school authority or principal. Please refer to our Day School Program.

  • Students under 18 years of age may be able to take ILC courses in certain situations, please refer to our Special Circumstances brochure for details.

How to Request Your First Course

  • Fill in the Registration Form C. (PDF, 571KB)*

  • You can request only one course to start. You may request an additional course after successfully passing the first unit of your first course. The same rule applies for each subsequent course request.

  • Include your non-refundable administration fee payment. If you do not include the payment, your request will be returned.

  • If you are 19 years of age and under, you must also include a Date of Leaving Letter from your last school and a copy of your most recent official, original Ontario Student Transcript. Click here for details on how to obtain these documents.

  • Mail or fax your course request. If you fax it, you do not need to send a copy of your request by mail.

  • You can also drop off your course request at the ILC's office in Toronto during office hours, but your request cannot be processed while you wait. Your course material will be mailed to you from our warehouse within 5-10 business days.
