Course Prerequisites

Many of the courses offered in Grades 10, 11, and 12 specify a prerequisite. If a course requires a certain background, the prerequisite course is given with the course description. For example, Grade 10 academic science is the prerequisite for Grade 11 university preparation chemistry.

Changing Course Type

If you change course type, we strongly recommend that before starting the Grade 10 course, you complete the appropriate Crossover Materials to help you bridge the gap. They are available in the following subjects: science, and French as a second language.

The materials prepare you to move from a Grade 9 applied to a Grade 10 academic course or from a Grade 9 academic to a Grade 10 applied course. They are free of charge.
