Course Overview
“This course is for students enrolled in the French Pathway for completion of a French OSSD.”
This course emphasizes the development of literacy, communication, and creative and critical thinking skills that are necessary for success in academic and daily life. You will analyse challenging literary texts from various countries, periods, and cultures, as well as a range of informational and media texts; produce a variety of creative, persuasive, and analytical written and media texts; and apply your knowledge of oral communication skills in a variety of formal and informal contexts. Important focuses are independent research, the creative and precise use of language, clear expression, and speaking with fluency and confidence.
