Course Overview

Ce cours constitue un survol de l'histoire des premières civilisations de l'humanité, de la préhistoire jusqu'à la fin du XVe siècle et permet à l'élève d'examiner divers facteurs qui expliquent l'émergence, le rayonnement et le déclin de ces civilisations anciennes, d'en étudier les traits distinctifs et les grandes réalisations ainsi que d'évaluer leur apport au patrimoine de l'humanité. En utilisant les concepts de la pensée critique en histoire et le processus d'enquête, ce qui inclut l'analyse et l'interprétation d'éléments de preuve, l'élève acquiert les compétences nécessaires pour évaluer les structures politiques, économiques et sociales, et les forces historiques des temps anciens.
